We stay true to this by setting very high education and moral standards for our students and staff, the proof of this lies in our continuous excellence in the Cambridge checkpoint exam that the students have sat for over the years, we have aspired to aim high in all the spheres of educating a child to make them dynamic, independent and creative thinkers.
Prossy Nandawula Ngabo is my name. I was born in Uganda and spent much of my childhood with my parents and in church school. I grew up particularly enjoying to serve people in our community.
After school, I gained a Bachelor of Arts with Education degree from Makerere University and then went on to study for a Post Graduate Diploma in Special Needs Education from Kyambogo University. Following that, I got married to my husband Victor Ngabo, and I began my teaching career at a large international primary school in Bugolobi - Kampala. Currently, I intend to pursue a PGCE with QTS (Postgraduate Certificate in Education with Qualified Teacher Status) from Coventry University- UK
Since then, I have worked for over 15 years in primary schools, teaching children ranging from three to twelve years from many different countries and cultures. Over the years, I have enjoyed a variety of roles including those of specialist junior teacher, EYFS Department Leader, KS 1 and 2 co- teacher and now Head Teacher of Entebbe Junior Cambridge International school where I have gained experience of school leadership in a range of contexts. This includes executive headship and leadership of the school’s partnership with British Council.
I have always enjoyed leading musical productions involving large numbers of children, taking children on a wide range of educational visits and developing learning in the outdoor environment. Consequently, these aspects of school life are very important to us at Entebbe Junior Cambridge International School.
This breadth of experience has led me to develop a strong belief that children learn best when they are having fun and are engaged in practical, real life activities. I also believe that strong relationships with parents and the wider community are vital in ensuring that children are supported as they move through their school life. So, I am delighted to be working together with pupils, staff, parents, principal, directors and everyone else involved with Entebbe Junior Cambridge International School for all our children's success, achievement and welfare.
Out of school, I live along Entebbe Road with my husband and three lovely children. One handsome boy in Christian secondary school and two adorable girls here with me. We all enjoy being outdoors including serving in church.
As a headteacher, it is my role and responsibility to provide highly effective, experienced and inspirational leadership. My ambition and vision, which is shared by all staff, principal and directors, is firmly anchored in the relentless and determined drive to improve and celebrate pupils’ achievements.
I look forward to seeing you in school and working with your children at Entebbe Junior Cambridge International School.
